Frequently Asked Questions
Q. How long will it take forme to receive my vehicle once I have placed an order?
A. This all depends on what vehicle and how easily sourced it is. If your vehicle is easily available on the European market, ie BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Land Rover, Range Rover, VW, Toyota, Nissan, Honda, Peugeot, Renault etc, then you can expect a 4-6 weeks turnaround subject to cleared funds. Clients who order rare or exclusive vehicles such as Bentleys, Rolls Royce, Ferrari etc may have to wait slightly longer as we match their budget to the available vehicles on the market. With such vehicles, we most likely will have to search for an owner and negotiate an offer. This process maybe prelonged. We will keep you informed at every stage with updates of ETA.
Q. What do the terms FOB and CIF mean?
A. FOB stands for Free On Board. This means that we are responsible for you goods until they are loaded onto the Ship/Air Plane. You are then responsible for the goods transportation and handling until final destination.
CIF stands for Cost, Insurance and Freight. This means that we are responsible for your goods until they reach the destination port, at whic point you are responsible for clearing and transportation to final destination. FOB costs is lower than CIF costs as it does not inclued freight costs. UKEC passes all freight costs onto the CIF costs. We do not make any profit on these costs apart from expenses incurred.
